XeBusiness Launches 'Enterprise' Platform for its Applications Software

Henri-Lloyd Places Upgrade Contract

Manchester, UK 26th July 2005

XeBusiness (XeB) has launched an 'Enterprise' version of its Applications software platform specifically targeted at larger apparel and textile suppliers with heavy transaction volumes and for network configurations exceeding 60 on-line, real time and concurrent users.

The platform will enable XeB's world class applications software - Xe-ERP2 - to run off an industry standard RDBMS (Relational Data Base Management System) with SQL (Structured Query Language) and ODBC (Open Data Base Connectivity) support. Both MS Windows and Linux server platforms are supported.

Key and innovative technology features of Xe-ERP2 running with this RDBMS platform will provide larger XeB clients with the performance, transactional integrity and scalability to support exponential growth of their businesses.

XeBusiness also announces that Henri-Lloyd International, a highly successful and fast growing retailer and distributor of marine apparel and branded fashion wear, has placed an upgrade contract with XeBusiness for the new 'Enterprise' platform. Implementation is scheduled for October this year.

Commenting on the award of the contract to XeBusiness, Martin Strzelecki, joint Chief Executive of Henri-Lloyd said:

"We have used prior versions of the XeBusiness product for many years and worked closely with their team over a period in which the Henri-Lloyd business has changed dramatically in both focus and scale." He added, "XeBusiness has proved an effective IT partner during this challenging period and we now once again move forward with them in partnership and a high degree of mutual confidence."

David Cullis, Chief Executive of XeBusiness said in response:

"The new technology platform will provide an easy, highly scalable migration route for our client base with minimal business risk. It will also allow us to pitch credibly to large apparel and textile enterprises, many of which are utilising non industry specialist enterprise systems which are cumbersome and require a lot of expensive maintenance, customisation and support."

He continued by saying:

"The decision by Henri-Lloyd to upgrade to the new 'enterprise' platform immediately following its launch has delighted the XeB team. Henri Lloyd is proof positive of the growth opportunities that continue to be available in the sector for companies that get their branding, focus, merchandising and service infrastructure right."
